Utilisation of Funding

There is considerable interest in how funding is allocated to local stakeholders to address spatial inequalities and in the amount of funding that is available. However, funding comes with rules on how, when, where and what it can be spent.

The focus of this review by Professor Anne Green, University Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡, is on the factors influencing how funding is/ can be used to address local priorities that will address spatial inequalities and associated challenges and opportunities.

Meet the Authors

Professor Anne Green 

Anne Green joined the University Âé¶¹¾«Ñ¡ as Professor of Regional Economic Development in June 2017. Her research interests span employment, non-employment, regional and local labour market issues, skills strategies, urban and rural development, migration and commuting, associated policy issues and evaluation.

She has published in high-profile journals and has written numerous reports for UK Government Departments and agencies. Anne is experienced in disseminating the results of her research to academic, policy and practitioner audiences.
