SUMMARY:Innovative Teaching for Responsible Business

DESCRIPTION:The Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), from the United Nations Global Compact, emphasise in the third principle 'method': “We will create educational frameworks, materials, processes and environments that enable effective learning experiences for responsible leadership”.\n
 While there has been focus on the content of responsible business courses and modules, there has been less discussion about how to deliver specific topics of responsible business that span both formal, informal and subliminal curriculums.\n
 We will be running a half-day workshop at Birmingham Business School where academics and educators will present innovative ways of delivering responsible business teaching to students. The methods presented include theatre, real life micro-lending and social action campaigning for responsible leadership, using serious game and virtual reality. The day will conclude with some key take-aways from the workshop. There will also be plenty of opportunities to interact with other PRME signatory schools, as members from all over the UK and Ireland will join us on the day. \n
