UID:www.birmingham.ac.uk/212448 DESCRIPTION:Dr Penny Smith,Ā Dr Sarah GorinĀ and Dr Meanu Bajwa-PatelĀ from University of Warwick Enablers for SEND service improvement: reflections from the What Works in SEND research\n Dr Penny Smith, Dr Sarah Gorin and Dr Meanu Bajwa-Patel will present some key findings from their work as part of What works in SEND, a DfE-funded programme of qualitative research at Warwick Business School. They will focus on three of their projects: alternative provision outreach support; service delivery models and; co-production with children and young people with SEND and their families\n Biographies Dr Penny Smith is a Research Fellow at Warwick Business school. She’s worked in research since 2001 and has a background in Sociology, Social Policy and Education working across large and small-scale projects in these fields in universities and voluntary sector organisations.\n Dr Sarah Gorin is an Assistant Professor at Warwick Business School. She has worked to improve services for children and their families for over twenty-five years, with a background that includes research in academic, voluntary sector and local authority organisations.\n Dr Meanu Bajwa-Patel is a Research Fellow at Warwick Business School. Her research interests include: educational inclusion and disadvantage, special educational needs and disability (SEND), youth justice and social impact measurement.\n This event is free and open to the public, staff and students.
