DESCRIPTION:This event, with invited speakers and Q and A session will present key findings from the research report that we are launching. The report provides an in-depth understanding of older people’s experiences of navigating self-funded care and contains important insights for policy makers, local authority commissioners, care providers and practitioners. \n
 The 3-year study, funded by the Wellcome Trust, has been undertaken by teams of academics and lay co-researchers, including older citizens, at the University Â鶹¾«Ñ¡, the University of Brighton, and the University of Lincoln. Our research has focused on ethical issues and the risks and responsibilities for everybody involved in the process of self-funding care - older people themselves, their family members and informal carers, care providers, practitioners, and social care commissioners. \n \n
