DESCRIPTION:This event is an opportunity to discuss contemporary issues in work and social security as experienced by individuals and families. The day will begin with a showing of 'I, Daniel Blake' to provide a reference point for speakers and participants to respond to. The panel will draw from their own research and experience to respond to points raised in the film and to question in order to help develop discussion concerning future research agendas. \n
 This event will be of interest to researchers, policy makers and practitioners in employment, social security, family life (including caregiving) and disability studies as well as individuals and families with a stake in these policy areas.\n
