Global Alumni Gathering - Hong Kong

Join alumnus Jonathan Wong (BEng & BCom Engineering Production and Economics, 1990), President of the , in Hong Kong on Saturday 24 May at 14.00 local time for an outing as part of this year's Global Alumni Gathering. 

Meeting point: 2 pm at Central Pier 4, and take ferry from Central to Yung Shue Wan (榕樹灣) at 2:30 pm sharp. It will take about 27 minutes for the ferry. 

Outing: walk from Yung Shue Wan (榕樹灣) to Sok Kwu Wan (索罟灣). It may take between 2 to 3 hours. After arriving at Sok Kwu Wan (索罟灣), all participants are free to enjoy drinks and seafood dinner at different bars and restaurants. Public ferry is available back to Central from Sok Kwu Wan (索罟灣). 

Dress: 

1. Consider the setting and be prepared for outdoor activities. Opt for breathable fabrics like cotton or linen. Comfortable jeans, shorts, or casual dresses are great choices.

2. Choose comfortable footwear: sneakers, loafers, or casual flats are usually ideal.

3. Bring sunglasses if necessary. 

Contingency plan: If the weather on 24 May 2025 is not good, it will be postponed to Saturday 7 June 2025. Confirmation will be given on or before 19 May 2025.

To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the University receiving Royal Assent in 1900, Birmingham alumni across the globe will get together on or around 25 May to celebrate their connection with the University.
