Who is the woman behind the mask?
You are warmly invited to experience the creativity and voices of ‘Invisible Women’, the concluding performance following an exciting community project created by Julianne Oc in conjunction with the Lapworth Museum.
This community show will celebrate each participant’s journey from sentiments of invisibility, through to proud, creative visibility. Expect poignant and joyous performances from inspiring women from our community, sharing evocative moments through music, song, poetry, storytelling and performance art.
This unique event will interest anyone wishing to be inspired to find their own creative voice, students of community, music, sociology, and anyone who would like to experience the bonding magic of creative practice individually and within the community.
Participants have had 6 weeks to create and perform original works, inspired by their own experiences and the Museum collections. The results are exciting, moving and a wonderful illustration of how creating art positively impacts wellbeing, social bonding and personal growth.
When the masks drop, magic happens!
