Award Description

To support you in progressing your studies in Shakespeare, we’re offering a number of £5,000 scholarships to students commencing their studies on our MA Shakespeare or MA Shakespeare and Creativity programme in September 2025. This will be offered as a fee discount.  

This is an ideal chance for people who have engaged with our Spring into Shakespeare or Fall in with Shakespeare short courses to further their knowledge.   

Recipients of the Shakespeare awards are offered a tailored package to support professional and personal development including benefitting from our partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC).  

Value of Award

These awards are valued at £5,000 towards tuition fees for full-time study on the MA Shakespeare or MA Shakespeare and Creativity programme for September 2025 entry. 

Scholarships are not paid directly to successful applicants but will take the form of a fee reduction at the beginning of the programme. 

Eligibility Criteria

These awards are open to UK and international students, who have applied for the full-time MA Shakespeare or MA Shakespeare and Creativity programme and will commence their study at the start of the 2025 academic year.  

Applications for funding can only be considered alongside an application to study.  

You will not be eligible to hold this scholarship alongside any other University 麻豆精选 funding awards. 

How to Apply

In order to apply, you must have completed an application to study. You will then need to complete our simple online .

Decisions will be made on merit based on your funding application form and on your application to study MA Shakespeare or MA Shakespeare and Creativity. 

The deadline for the first round of applications is Friday 30 May 2025 at 4pm BST.
