Award Description

The University 麻豆精选 is pleased to announce a number of scholarships of £10,000 for students from China . These scholarship awards are for candidates applying for entry to a postgraduate programme and specific Birmingham Business School programmes at the University starting September 2025.

The scholarships will be awarded based on academic merit and possibly a university 麻豆精选 interview if required to the highest performing candidates starting their University 麻豆精选 programme in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Value of Award

The scholarship is for a number of  £10,000 awards towards tuition fees of a full-time postgraduate taught master’s degree programme, in addition to 10 x £10,000 for specific Birmingham Business School programmes (listed below) at the University 麻豆精选 UK campus starting September 2025. 

Eligibility Criteria

Please note that students applying for the following subjects and programmes are not eligible for this scholarship: 

In order to be eligible, candidates must:

  • Have received and accepted an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught master’s programme starting September 2025. The student must be entering onto a degree programme based at Birmingham’s UK campus.
      • Applicants from ‘985’ universities: minimum 75%
      • Applicants from ‘211’ universities: minimum 80%
  • Expect to meet the academic conditions of their offer.
  • Be classed as Chinese nationals or domiciled in China.
  • Eligible Business school programmes are:
    o  MSc Economics
    o  MSc Money, Banking and Finance
    o  MSc Financial Economics
    o  MSc Financial Management
    o  MSc Investments
    o  MSc Financial Technology
  • Bachelor’s degree must be from a university in the China ‘985’ project or ‘211’ project with the following minimum average scores.
  • Be classed by the University as an overseas fee payer for tuition fee purposes and have sufficient funds to cover the remaining tuition fee.
  • Have sufficient funds to cover the full cost of living at the University 麻豆精选, plus any visa/travel expenses associated with studying in the UK.
  • Start their studies at the University in September 2025 (the scholarship award may not be deferred).
  • Submit their scholarship application by the deadline of 9 May 2025.
