The information you provide genuinely helps us improve our services for all at the University 麻豆精选. We wanted to share with you how we are taking you feedback forward and initiatives that are taking place to better support your needs:
Laptop chargers
You said laptops from our lockers had too short a battery life:

You told us you'd like more food options and microwaves at the Main Library:
- We purchased an extra microwave that is now in place in the Library Lounge
- We've arranged for additional vending machines to be placed in the Library Lounge so that you have better access to refreshments in the evenings.
Academic skills workshops
You asked us for more academic skills workshops at earlier points in the term:
- The Academic Skills Centre ran lots more skills workshops during term time, including the ‘Preparing for your Assignment’ series, which ran weekly from Week 4 last term. are now available to watch.
Water taps
You told us that water taps at the Main Library needed to be repaired:
- All water taps have now been inspected and either repaired or replacements ordered as necessary.
Study space updates

- You can now see space availability for the Main Library via the MyUoB app. Look for the ‘Library Space’ tab under the list of services.
Digital formats
You said you’d like more options for library material to be available in :
- We’ve launched our open shelf scanning service for all students and staff. The Library team will digitise chapters of books or journal articles on your behalf.
Reducing noise
You asked us if there was a way to reduce noise from the First Floor balcony:
- We’ve rearranged the furniture on the balcony to make more individual study desks, rather than group tables;
- We have separated the tannoy announcements so that they only sound on the floor from which we have received noise complaints.
Ground floor toilets
You told us the toilets on the Ground Floor needed attention:
- The Ground Floor toilets at the rear of the Library have had a deep clean, including the flooring and grouting;
- We’ve worked with Cleaning Services to adjust and improve the cleaning routine for the Ground Floor toilets.
