This is a question-and-answer session where participants will have the rare opportunity to ask the eminent Professor Dylan Wiliam any questions related to education and about his career in education, and what we can learn from his experience.

Biography

Dylan Wiliam is Emeritus Professor of Educational Assessment at the UCL Institute of Education. In a varied career lasting almost 50 years (49 to be exact), he has taught maths, science and English in urban public schools, trained teachers, directed a large-scale testing program, served a number of roles in university administration, including Dean of a School of Education. He left the University of London in 2010 to focus on working more directly with teachers, and now spends his time working with teachers across 50 countries on improving teaching and learning. His research is extensively cited (e.g. Inside the Black Box), and covers topics as diverse as the curriculum design, school effectiveness and school improvement, pedagogy, leadership, research synthesis, teacher quality, artificial intelligence in education, and of course, the use of assessment to improve learning. He has written over 300 books, chapters and articles.
