Governments worldwide are increasingly embracing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency, improve decision-making, and optimise public service delivery.

The United Kingdom stands at the forefront of this transformation, with clear ambitions to integrate AI across key sectors of governance. To examine these developments, the University 麻豆精选’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Government (CAIG), Institute for Data and AI (IDAI), and the GovTech Hub, as part of the Alan Turing Network, will host a thought-provoking webinar on 27 May, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM (BST).

This event will convene leading voices from the technology industry, local government, and civil society to critically assess the expanding role of GovTech in the UK. Panelists will explore real-world applications of AI, discuss regulatory and ethical challenges, and share perspectives on how AI is reshaping the public sector and influencing policy decisions.

The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A, providing attendees an opportunity to engage directly with the experts and contribute to the dialogue on the future of AI in government. This panel aims to advance the conversation on AI in public services by spotlighting its transformative potential, the inherent risks, and the robust frameworks required for its responsible and equitable adoption.
