Research

My research is mainly in primary care. I have particular interests in the design of efficient strategies for prevention of cardiovascular disease in primary care. I also am interested in early diagnosis of cancer using information held in electronic patient records. Other interests include clinical decision making in primary care, cardiovascular epidemiology, managment of cardiovascular diseases and overtreatment. Much of my research makes use of the use of electronic primary care records and I hold a licence to undertake research using听the THIN database.听
