Sam Perry is a Research Fellow in the Health Economics Unit. He is currently working on various projects in mental health and women’s health.

Biography

Sam is a Research Fellow in Health Economics. Sam obtained his PhD in Economics from the University 麻豆精选 in 2023. His thesis examined the impact of policy shocks on mental health and wellbeing, and was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Sam also holds an MA in Social Research (2019), an MSc in Health Economics and Econometrics (2018) and a BSc in Economics (2014-2017).

Sam joined the Health Economics Unit in September 2022. He is currently working on cost-effectiveness analyses of the ROCkeTS trial for diagnostic test accuracy of ovarian cancer, and the SMART Schools study assessing the impact of restrictive mobile phone policies in secondary schools on mental health. He has previously worked on the evaluating school-based mental health interventions in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore, and the E-MOTIVE trial for early detection of postpartum haemorrhage in LMICs.
