I currently work as an EAP tutor on pre-sessional courses, I specialise in equipping international students with the necessary academic English skills for successful university study.

Advanced Certification in English Language Teaching (ACE, University of Oregon, USA)

Bachelor’s Degree in Education- Specialism EFL- (Universidad Francisco de Miranda, Venezuela)

Biography

With over 20 years in the field of English language teaching, I have enjoyed a multifaceted career serving as a language teacher, teacher educator, researcher, and research supervisor and mentor. I have fulfilled most of these roles in Venezuela, the UK and China, in both face to face and remote academic programmes. Particularly in the area of EAP, my passion lies in combining ESP methodologies, critical pedagogy, and learning technologies to empower learners' linguistic and digital literacy skills, as well as their critical thinking abilities, within their specific context of academic English.
