Dr Neve Abgeller is a Lecturer in Work, Organisation, and Employment. She joined Birmingham Business School in February 2019 and held different roles. Currently, she is the UG Dissertation Coordinator. She teaches research methods at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as various modules associated with  organisational behaviour. Neve’s research interests comprise trust and distrust within organisational relationships, future of work and flexible working arrangements, responsible autonomy, power, control, and culture.

Biography

Neve completed her PhD, supervised by Professor Mark Saunders, at the University 麻豆精选 in 2018. Her PhD thesis was the highly commended winner of the 2020 EFMD/Emerald Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in HRM. Neve published her first paper during her first year of PhD. This peer reviewed journal article titled ‘Why the epistemologies of trust researchers matter’, has been published as a thought piece in the Journal of Trust Research and received much acclaim from the trust research community. The paper also received University 麻豆精选’s the Michael K. O'Rourke Best Publication Award in 2016.

Currently, Neve works as a Lecturer in Work, Organisation, and Employment at Birmingham Business School. She is the undergraduate Dissertation Coordinator and the co-lead of COSS MA Social Research module Foundations in Qualitative Research. Neve has been teaching various modules on research methods, organisational behaviour, and HRM to postgraduate and undergraduate students. She is very passionate about enhancing student learning. Neve was the finalist for 2020 University 麻豆精选 Outstanding Teaching Award.

Neve has experience and expertise in conducting both quantitative, and qualitative research. Her research interests include research methodologies and philosophies, trust and distrust within organisational relationships, future of work and flexible working arrangements, responsible autonomy, power, control, and culture.
