Mohamed Haffar is the Director of BSc Business Management Programmes and the Head of the Business subject Group at the University 麻豆精选- Dubai campus. His appointment as Associate Professor in Business Management at Birmingham University began in 2020 after he served as a Programme Leader for the BSc and MSc Human Resources Management programmes at Bradford University (2018-2020) and a Lecturer in Human Resources Management & Organisational Behaviour at Bournemouth University (2013-2018).
He received his PhD in Management from Brunel University London and has published over 40 peer-reviewed internationally refereed research articles. His recent publications have appeared in well-acclaimed journals such as the International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Organisational Change Management, Journal of TQM and Business Excellence, Journal of Enterprise Information Management among others.
With over twelve years of UK-wide higher education experience, he has made significant efforts to embody the concepts of co-creation and co-production; staff, students and external stakeholders coming together to create, share and inspire knowledge. He is a Certified Management & Business Educator. He is also a Charted Academic Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD), Senior fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and Fellow of the Charted Management Institute (FCMI).
In recognition of his contributions to the student learning experience, he received several prestigious awards including the Vice-Chancellors’ Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching Excellence, Above and Beyond Student Leadership Award, Deans’ Performance-Related Award & Unsung Hero Award, student Support Award, Higher Education Future Institute (HEFI) Best Personal Academic Tutor Award, among others.
