Alberto Recchioni is a Research Fellow (Optometry) at the University 麻豆精选. He holds honorary contracts with both Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) and with Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals (SWBH) at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. He has a specialist expertise in investigating the ocular surface in patients with autoimmune syndromes and rare conditions and providing a fully comprehensive set of non-invasive objective measurements able to track the changes before and after innovative treatments.

He is also part of the Academic Unit of Ophthalmology whose research interests are based on the inflammatory mechanism in the ocular environment, including immunologically mediated OSD and intraocular inflammation (uveitis), and biomaterial device impact on wound healing and scarring in ocular tissues.
