Tamara is a postdoctoral research fellow in the group of Professor Davide Calebiro. She is using fluorescence-based single-molecule microscopy to study dynamics of interactions between G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and arrestins.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Sciences, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, 2018
  • MSc in Chemistry, fields biochemistry and organic chemistry, University of Zagreb, Croatia, 2015
  • BSs in Chemistry, University of Zagreb, Croatia, 2013

Biography

Prior to joining IMSR, Tamara completed her PhD at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, investigating molecular mechanisms of biased signalling in cannabinoid CB2 receptor. During PhD, she spent 8 months in Professor Michel Bouvier’s lab at the University of Montreal using BRET-based biosensors in live cells to assess signalling of cannabinoid receptors, including high-throughput ligand and mutant screens.
